Several factors may conspire to make you stub your toes painfully and often:

  1. In avoiding society, you spend more time at home.
  2. By staying home, you spend more time in socks or bare feet.
  3. Because you prefer ‘cosier’ homes, there’s less room to manoeuvre.
  4. You’re naturally clumsy.
  5. When focussed on a task, you move swiftly and purposefully – with no thought other than that task.

Slippers and ugg boots help a lot.
