See more clearly.

If you stop drinking alcohol for more than a week (an excellent idea) your Asperger symptoms may paradoxically intensify.

This is disconcerting, especially if you were expecting rapid benefits from detoxification.

Stay off the grog long enough (a month or two) and you should start to feel much better.

If you’re having a really hard time of it, Valium is a better option than falling off the horse (though this highly addictive drug has its own dangers).

Be sure to involve your doctor and counsellor if you plan to go sober. They’ll provide excellent guidance and support.
