In the Star Wars movie The Empire Strikes Back, a Viper deep-space exploration and reconnaissance probe droid is despatched to the planet Hoth to search for rebels.

You are like one of these droids: alone, highly sensitive, lightly armoured and sent by a great power to find and report important things.

So it should come as no surprise when, shortly after mid-winter, you’re the only one in your neighbourhood to catch the first, faint whiff of spring.

Climb onto something high. Stand tall. Tune your sensors to the shifting season.

For you are a witness to wonders. A harbinger of change. A keen, vital instrument of the Universe.

Just don’t get into any firefights with Wookies.

Brought to you by The Feisty Empire.
